As public employees, our role aligns with our personal passion to service (take care of) others. However, when personal/professional stress makes its way into our lives to effectively care for others, we must take care of ourselves first.
This session first shares the message that self-care is not selfish. It also looks at acknowledging stress, the difference between stress and burnout, mitigating and managing stress (work/life), and understanding that "it's OK to not be OK...But...it's NOT OK to not ask for help". Additionally, it focuses on the importance of building relationships and how they can help us mend by looking beyond self.
After attending this training session, participants will be able to examine the need to:

- Understand the difference between stress and burnout
- See the correlation of stress and burnout and potential risk exposure
